Somehow The Grindstone Theatre's artistic director Byron Martin and fellow Edmonton-based musician Simon Abbott found a way. Jason Kenney's Hot Boy Summer: The Musical is a tough pill to swallow coated in sugar, adding a humorous spin on an otherwise bleak topic of the 21st century.
There is no room for mercy or bias towards any one particular political figure, as everyone receives an equally hilarious dose of ridicule in this show. Even if you're not the type of person to indulge in politics or musicals, you'll have no trouble following along and enjoying the ride. This is not your typical musical.
Hot Boy Summer has taken Alberta by storm after countless successful shows in Edmonton, amazing audiences night after night.
