Security/Door Person - Comedy Theatre

Job Description:

We are seeking folks to work Security/Door for Grindstone Theatre’s late night events. These folks need to have their ProTect certification, and de-escalation training would be a benefit. The Security/Door Person will be required to check patron ID’s, scan tickets for late night events, support Box Office and ensure proper behaviour from our patrons.

Black Box Bookings Associate - Orange Hub THeatre

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookings Associate to support venue rental operations for the Black Box Theatre at the Orange Hub.

The Bookings Associate plays a key role in supporting booking operations specifically for the Black Box Theatre. As one of the primary points of contact for rental inquiries related to this space, this position is responsible for guiding clients through the booking process—from initial inquiry to confirmed event—while ensuring all administrative and coordination tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

About the Role:

This is primarily an administrative/office-based role with occasional on-site event support as needed. This role requires the use of a personal laptop and, at times, a personal mobile phone for work-related tasks

The position is 20/hours per week at $18 per hour.

This position is not commission-based. Clients are assigned and shared between the Bookings Associate(s) and Bookings Manager.

This is a temporary position for 14 weeks, with the potential of an extended contract

Candidates must be under the age of 30 to meet grant funding requirements.

We are seeking an organized, passionate and reliable arts administrator for the Programming Manager role. The Programming Manager is a part time position responsible for managing the Arts Presenting side of Grindstone Theatre. This includes coordinating contracts with independent artists/producers, coordinating marketing and promotion for Arts Presenting, managing a budget and organizing the performance schedule for one of Edmonton’s busiest venues.
