​This class is designed to get you feeling confident and comfortable being on stage, expressing yourself, and collaborating with other actors. It has the essential tools you need to start working on text, responding creatively to impulse, and sharing the action with the audience. The class culminates in a public showcase.

ACTING 202:
ALONE ON STAGE
Being alone on stage can be nerve-wracking! In this class, you will explore the power of the monologue in the context of auditions and a full production. In order to perform with clear intention and presence, the instructor will provide feedback and lead you through acting exercises as you prepare your monologue. We will cover audition etiquette through role play and performance and you will have ample opportunity to perform your monologue in front of your classmates and at the end of term, share the piece in a public showcase.

ACTING 203:
ACTING FOR FILM
This class will follow the process from sides on a page to collaborating with fellow cast and crew to deliver compelling material in film and television. The work completed in this class is intended to make participants active operatives in their careers. From technical acting specifics unique to working with a camera, to making bold, specific choices, to developing materials and discipline to make you competitive with agencies and casting directors. Participants learn how to sculpt the career they desire by building on their greatest strengths. Acting 203 will take students through the film process step by step from audition notice to film festival red carpet.
**Please note: This class charges an equipment fee of $25. This fee is used to cover the cost of the filming equipment, the camera operator and final editing.
