Musical Improv 201 - F26

Service Description

This course builds on the song improvisation skills learned in the previous course. Students must have taken Musical Improv 101 before registering in Musical Improv 201. This course will cover new song genres and structures, including duets and solo songs. It will also involve movement, harmonizing, and scene work leading into song. Musical Improv 201 focuses on singing only. Instruments will not be taught in this class. This class finishes in a final showcase at the Grindstone Theatre. The showcase will consist of the students making up some songs on the spot based on the theme of an audience suggestion.
