IMPROV 201: CHARACTERS
Jump on into the Grindstone Theatre School's Improv 200 series with the introductory "Characters" course. Whether you're a seasoned improv vet, or are still new to improv and taking your first steps outside of other introductory programs, Improv 201 will offer students a wealth of ideas, techniques, and stage time to help develop your improvisational chops. In Improv 201: Characters, we will look at how to focus on yourself as a member of an improv troupe and how to add to stories through strong character offers and choices. Students will learn to use several instant and long-term strategies for creating strong, memorable, and effective characters. They'll also learn how to inspire their scene partners and win over audiences by developing stories full of loveable, unique archetypes, all while practicing improv and theatre fundamentals. Come discover all the entertaining, creative, and fun ideas that come from strong character choices and lateral thinking with Evan Dowling!
