MUSICAL IMPROV 202:
Level up your understanding of genre, form, and choreography skills. Main focus is on working music into long form improv.
The purpose of this class is to get you to be able to do an hour-long improvised musical.
How do you craft a song to introduce a character? How do you interpret the music to decide what happens next in the scene? How do you keep a story going for a whole hour? Take Musical Improv 202, which is different from 201 (we promise). The purpose of this class is to marry the short-form musical improv you’ve already done with the format of long-form improv.
At the end of this class, students will perform in one of two hour-long musical improv showcases.
